Unique
Today the class was handled by professor Hareesh. He told us about a Canadian Olympian Lawrence Lemieux. His event was sailing. He worked hard to get into the Olympic team. It was Seoul Olympics 1988 held in South Korea. Everyone expected him to win the gold medal. During the match day the weather was perfect. During the race he was in the second position. He was very close to the first position. But he noticed in the other side of the sea 2 people were drowning. Without wasting the next second he changed the course of his boat and reached those people. He jumped into the sea and saved those people. He almost risked his life. He waited for the rescue team and handed those people to them. Then he joined the race. Now he was in the 32 nd position. He worked hard the completed the race with the 24 th position. He didn’t won the medal but he won billion hearts. He was awarded Pieree de Coubertin Medal for Sportsmanship. Today no one remembers the Gold medalist...
